St. Patrick School
St. Patrick School will be sending home a folder of activities for students to complete with their families. They will be hosting a spirit day where students are encouraged to dress in clothing containing as much print as possible. Students will have the opportunity to read with their reading buddies, parents and grandparents. Friday, January 27 Mrs. Beckner’s grade one class will be travelling by bus to listen to authors read at the Swift Current Mall from 9:30 am- 10:30 am. St. Patrick School is encouraging families to submit pictures of their family reading together.
St Joseph School
St. Joseph School will be hosting a Family Literacy Day Challenge. For one week beginning Monday, January 23, families are challenged to take time to read together and log the number of minutes they spend reading together. The Literacy Log will then be entered into a draw for a prize. The draw will take place on Friday, January 27. Sounds like fun? Then plan to help celebrate Family Literacy Day with us!
